2Can I get a measure and quote?

Westcoast Blinds WA offer a free measure and quote for all of our window treatment products.

3How do I measure for blinds?

Usually our window treatment experts will measure windows and doors for you, however if you wish to measure them yourself, you can download our measuring guide here.

4How long do your blinds take to be fitted?

Because all of our products are custom made to fit your windows/doors, the installation times may vary. Below is a guide to standard lead time.

Indoor Blinds: 1 – 4 weeks

Outdoor, Patio and Café Blinds: 4 – 6 weeks

Indoor Shutters: 8 – 10 weeks

Curtains and Sheers: 4 – 6 weeks

Retractable Flyscreens: 2 – 3 weeks

Roller Shutters: 2 – 3 weeks

Security: 2 – 3 weeks

5Are you still operating during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Westcoast Blinds WA are still open and trading. As we know, the business landscape has literally changed overnight. Our industry has been heavily impacted and as a WA family owned and operated small business we are reaching out to others that might be finding themselves in a similar situation.

Maintenance

1Do you carry out service work on blinds?

We do not offer this service, however we have a blind repairs sub-contractor that will come out to your home and repair and maintain your damaged blind/s.

2Do you offer a cleaning service for blinds?

We do not offer the service, however we do have a blind cleaning sub-contractor who will come out to your home.

3How do we clean our blinds?

In most cases blinds can be cleaned with a warm damp cloth. Venetian blinds usually just need a duster or a light vacuum. Or get a professional blind cleaner in to give you the required results while still looking after the blind

1How to choose blinds for different areas?

We always advise ‘lighter’ blinds in the living areas of your home. This includes the living room, kitchen, and dining room. This is because plenty of light is needed in these areas. For the bedroom, we recommend blockout blinds as they block the most light.

2What blinds are best for privacy?

We recommend roller blinds or blockout blinds for privacy as they will offer complete privacy day or night. Roman blinds are also an ideal option for privacy as the thick and fully lined material allow for a every effective light blocking option.

3What blinds are best for sliding doors?

The three styles we recommend for sliding doors are panel blinds, vertical blinds and Verishade blinds. Having an easy to use tracking system is ideal for sliding doors as they allow for quick access to the door.

4Can I customise my security door?

We offer a vast range of security doors in hinged, sliding, single, or double doors to fit your needs. Choose from styles like Promesh, Securegrill, Decorative,. Further customise your security doors with accessories like a doggie doors or care taker features

5Can I choose the colour of my retractable fly screens?

We offer a selection of powder coated colours for the frames of our retractable fly screens. Our standard colours are include Pearl White Black, Copper Pearl (Cedar), Core Ten (Jarrah), Precious Pearl Silver.

6Would my home benefit from retractable (Horizontal) fly screens?

All homes can benefit from having retractable fly screens. They allow you to keep your windows open in warmer weather while providing protection from bugs and insects.

7Should I get curtains or blinds installed in my home?

Which indoor coverings you choose depends heavily on the type of space you have and your personal choice. Curtains provide a timeless and elegant feel to your rooms whereas blinds help modernise your space. Still don’t know which is best? 8What type of curtains should I get?

Westcoast Blinds WA offer a wide range of curtain fabrics and colours. Choose from a slimline or decorator track and customise your look with triple pinch pleat, reverse box pleat, S-fold, wave or U-pleat headings. Contact us today for a free measure and quote!

9How much do outdoor blinds cost?

The cost of outdoor blinds will depend on your individual needs, the size of the area you want to cover, the type of blinds you choose and a number of other factors. To get an accurate quote, contact Westcoast Blinds WA for a free measure and quote!

10What are the best blinds for keeping a room cool?

There are several blinds on the market that will help with this. Roller or Roman blinds in a block-out fabric is a good option for keeping the heat out and cool in. Another option is a roller blind in a sunscreen, mesh fabric, which would also assist with this. Sunscreen fabrics cut out 95% of UV rays, keep out 85% of the heat and allow you a view outside when the blind is down.

11How long will my blinds last?

We have our budget ranges for sales, rentals, first home buyers etc. through to premium ranges. Budget ranges carry a 1-2 year warranty, premium ranges come with a full 2 year warranty. The life of a blind depends largely on how it is treated and looked after. If treated well, you should get at least 10 years (if not more) out of the blinds.

12What blinds are best for my home?

Everyones circumstances and requirements are different, that’s why our consultants bring all of our samples out to your home and make suggestions on colours and types of blinds that they think will suit.

1How can I repair broken blinds?

All our blinds come with a 2-year warranty. If your blinds break or become faulty, please contact us immediately here.

2Do your security doors come with a warranty?

Yes, all our security doors come with a 20-year warranty. Our security doors are manufactured with over 60 years’ experience. They are built to last with high quality materials and exceed all the Australian Standards.

3Do the outdoor blinds come with a warranty?

Yes, all of our outdoor blinds come with a 2-year factory warranty on all blinds and installation (terms and conditions apply).
